Adam is an accomplished middle market private equity investor and operator with over a decade of experience acquiring, starting and operating consumer-oriented and B2B organizations. Over the past 12 years Adam has led or supported private equity investments totaling several hundred million dollars in both debt and equity, has led two organizations as CEO, has occupied multiple Board of Director roles, has been on the founding team of two companies, has been an advisor to multiple start-ups, and has been critical in the turn-around of the distressed operations of two organizations
Adam’s investment experience includes:
Founder at Stoa Capital, an independent equity sponsor; Directing equity investments with Kingfish Group, an established consulting firm; Prospect Capital Management, executing private equity investments including LBOs, mezzanine and high-yield debt; Co-Founder at Growth Capital Management, a private investment firm designed for small companies focused on growth; and GESD Capital Partners, focused on the consumer, restaurant, and business services sectors. Adam began his career in Ernst & Young’s Assurance and Advisory Business Services practice, which he left to develop and implement an internal control and compliance infrastructure as well as an operational process improvement regime for Elan Pharmaceuticals. Adam was also a member of the founding team of Banyan Water, developing predictive and real-time intelligence and data analysis solutions to promote efficient management decisions in water and waste-water systems.
Adam received his BA in Economics and Spanish from the College of the Holy Cross, his MS in Accounting from the University of Virginia, and his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.
